Internet Download Speed in Lagos Nigeria

Without saying much, this is a manageable speed for a heavy internet user like myself; on a Sunday morning, I was about to join church service online and a video was downloading in the background via Internet Download Manager, and my eyes fell on the Transfer Rate, it was crazy! Even though it was fluctuating between between 50KB/sec and 1.01MB/sec in case you have no idea how fast that is, just think of it as six times the speed of your 3G modems, depending on your location of course.
This prompted me to post the image on twitter and ask the network provider what it would cost me to have that speed consistently for 24/7. Don't get me wrong, there are people in Lagos, Nigeria who have internet connection with that speed, faster even, but it is well paid for. Some of them via the Fibre Optic cabling while others via the traditional microwave radios. The purpose of this post is to let you know that sometimes when traffic is light on this internet service providers and you are on an uncapped data plan or on a burstable speed plan, this is what you get!
